Robin Earl: Football Running Back and Tight End
Robin Danial Earl (born March 18, 1955) is a former professional American football player, who played as a full back and tight end in the National Football League. He played seven seasons for the Chicago Bears (1977–1983) and two seasons for the Birmingham Stallions (1984–85) of the United States Football League.

High school
Earl starred as a tailback at Kent-Meridian High School in Kent, Wa. despite his 6'5" 242 lb frame more typical of a lineman or tight-end. His senior year in 1972, Earl was voted the State's MVP both on Offense and Defense. Also named Washington's Top Scholastic Athlete of the Year. In his senior year Robin was the State Discus Champ, his toss of 192' 7" still stands as K-M's all time mark after 44 years.
College career
At the University of Washington, his career started as a tight-end, but once again he proved valuable when switched to full back for his final two and a half seasons. Lettered all 4 years and finished as the Huskies second all-time leading rusher with 2,351 yards. Voted Most Improved Player after 1974 season. Team Captain and MVP in 1976. Lettered 3 years in Track & Field as a Discus Thrower. Qualified for the NCAA Track Championships all 3 seasons (1974–76)
Professional career
He was drafted in the third round by the Chicago Bears in 1977, where he played full-back blocking for Walter Payton for three years before being switched once again to tight-end. He finished his 9-year career with the Birmingham Stallions of the USFL (United States Football League).
Post-football
Robin works as a licensed Energy Broker in the State of Illinois and as a licensed Insurance Broker in the State of Washington. In Chicago he has owned and operated Save On Energy 81 for the past 9 years. In Seattle, Robin is an Insurance & Financial Consultant working with 'The Assurance Group' located in Bellevue, Wa. He has over 35 years experience working with the Senior Market. Also involved with EZ*MD and United Games (FireFan Sports App) as a Marketing Affiliate. Robin has appeared on Comcast SportsNet live TV for 2 NFL seasons (2006–07) on Monday Nights recapping Chicago Bear games. As a Radio Sports Talk Show Host, Robin Co-Created "Bearly Legal" with his attorney David Spada which aired on TalkZone.com for nearly 3 years. He then created and hosted Livin Sports on WIND AM 560. Robin has four sons from his first marriage, Ryan (42), Regan (41), Roth (40) and Robin (38). His second marriage produced three more children, Kristin (32), Preston (29) and Kevin (24). Robin is currently divorced and lives in the Seattle area.
