The blackspotted pliers support beetle (Rhagium mordax)) is a species of the Lepturinae subfamily in the long-horned beetle family. This beetle is distributed in Albania, Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Kazakhstan, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Romania, Russia, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey, and the United Kingdom. Larvae develop in silver fir, hazel, European weeping birch, European beech, and the European chestnut. Ischnoceros rusticus is a parasitoid wasp from ichneumonid family that parasite on Rhagium mordax larvae.
