Reichlingia is a genus of tarantula with the sole species Reichlingia annae, from Belize. It is a member of the Ischnocolinae. The species was described in 1997 as Acanthopelma annae by Steven B. Reichling, but then transferred to the new genus Reichlingia by Rudloff in 2001. Its species name, annae, comes from Reichling's wife, Ann, who helped with the arachnological investigation.

Characteristics

The male is characterized by incrassate palpal tibia, preapical embolar process, and unmodified tibial spurs. The female is characterized by a unique abdominal pattern. Both genders are characterized by short posterior segments on lateral spinnerets
