The population was 5,151 in the 2006 Census, an increase of 270 from 2001.
Education
Redwoodtown School and Richmond View School are coeducational full primary (years 1-8) schools with rolls of 249 and 98, respectively. Both schools have a decile rating of 6. Richmond View is a state integrated school with a Christian perspective.
