Ravi Bhatia (born on 30 November 1988) is an Indian television actor. He is known for his portrayal of Salim in Zee TV's Jodha Akbar. He is from Rewalsar Mandi, Himachal Pradesh. He is a lacto-vegetarian. He has studied in JNV (Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya). Yash Bhatia is his younger brother who is also a model.

Career

He moved to Mumbai when he was 18 and started with small roles in Kahaani Hamaaray Mahaabhaarat Ki, Veekram and Betal and Dharam Veer where Bhatia played the supporting role of Kranti.

In one episode of 'Dadagiri', in its first season, called Dadagiri: Beat the Bullies, which premiered in 2008, "Esha, the Goddess" (Esha Bhaskar) slapped Ravi Bhatia (a contestant) in an unscripted physical attack. He immediately slapped her back.

The incident resulted in the male host (Akash Beri) and several other members of the crew physically assaulting Bhatia while he repeatedly asked "How can she slap [me]?" [sic].

Wider exposure for Ravi Bhatia came after he essayed the role of Salim in TV series Jodha Akbar. He then played a supporting role in Star Plus show Raja Ki Aayegi Baraat, and later played lead role on Sahara One's Hamaari Beti Raaj Karegi. Recently, he was also seen as Vivek in Zee TV’s Do Dil Bandhe Ek Dori Se.
In 2014, he was selected out of the 12 contestant for the role of Prince Salim in Ekta Kapoor's popular historical show Jodha Akbar. In 2015 he started appearing on various Indonesian television shows.
