Personal life
Rana Nasir Mehmood was born on 12 January 1964 in Faisalabad, Pakistan to a landlord Rajput family, his privileged upbringing allowed him to enjoy business education at an elite university. His father's name was Rana Saddat Ali. His childhood was spent in Gujranwala, Pakistan from where he started his career and became one of the most prominent industrialist of Pakistan. In 1974, his brother laid the foundation of sanitary fitting industry in Gujranwala, Pakistan under the name of Faisal Sanitary Fitting which is still one of the biggest sanitary fittings company in Pakistan. He formally joined the family business after completing his studies in Lahore, Pakistan and now he is one of the successful Pakistani businessman & industrialist.
Career
He was the Director of Faisal Sanitary Fitting and Galarise Limited (London) and after the death of his brother in 1990s, he became the Chairman and CEO of Faisal Sanitary Fitting. He also owned three more companies: Faisal Pipes Industries (PVT) Ltd, The Mechman International (PVT) Ltd and Nasq International (PVT) Ltd. Being a Pakistani businessman & industrialist, he has been an active member of The Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce & Industry. He was the Former President of Gujranwala Chamber of Commerce & Industry in 2001, currently Chairman of Technology Up-Gradation & Skill Development Company (TUSDEC) and President of All Pakistan Brass Water Association since 2008. He is a Life Member of South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation,. In addition to that, he also owns two trading companies named as Bolan trading and Faisal trade. Furthermore, he also supported an political party of Pakistan named Pakistan Muslim League (N) in early 1990s. In 2012, due to some political reasons he left Pakistan Muslim League (N) and joined the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf.
