Rally Bike - known in Japan as Dash Yarou (ダッシュ野郎, lit. "Dash Rascal"), is a 1988 racing arcade game developed by Toaplan and published by Taito.

Gameplay
Rally Bike is a bird's eye viewed motorcycle road racing game, where the player controls a motorcycle and must cross the finish line before an established number of competitor bikes. Fuel is a major obstacle, as running out of it results in game over. Any accident will cause great reduction of fuel, and stopping to refuel will cause competitor bikes to take advantage. Competitors never run out of fuel. Game includes 6 stages, each placed in an American city (from San Francisco to New York) and 2 bonus stages. Difficulty increases progressively and new obstacles like cars, trucks, rivers and ramps come as stages advance.
The NES version does not keep the same stages and backgrounds (probably due to hardware limitations). The X68000 follows the same path as the arcade one, and it is considered a very accurate port. Most differences between the arcade and X68000 are minor, like the aspect ratio of images (arcade runs on vertical mode so sprites are longer), warning signs for gas stations, and some missing animations (cars pulling forward, additional details on the bridge bonus stage, etc.)
Ports and related releases
Rally Bike was later ported and published in Japan by Visco on June 15, 1990, while being published in North America by Romstar in September the same year. NES port was released in 1990 by ROMSTAR. X68000 port was released on May 23, 1991 by Sharp.
Polystar released a limited-edition soundtrack album of the game music (composed by Ree Ohta) in 1989 (Tatsujin : Toaplan Game Music Scene One - H24X-10005)
