This high-budget production was the first CinemaScope film to be released in Tamil.Famous violin artist Kunnakudi Vaidhyanathan composer of music for the movie. The soundtrack album was composed by Violinist Kunnakudi Vaidyanathan. The lyrics were written by Tirunavukkarasar, Kannadasan, K. D Santhanam, Poovai Senguttuvan and 'Ulunthurpettai' Shanmugham.
