Early life

Quincy was born in New York City to model Kim Porter and singer Albert Joseph Brown (Al B. Sure!). He was named after his godfather, music and entertainment icon Quincy Jones. In 1994, when he was three, his mother began a relationship with Sean Combs (Diddy). The couple had three more children together, a son, Christian, and twin daughters D'Lila and Jessie. For his 16th birthday, Diddy and Porter threw Quincy a celebrity studded party in Atlanta that was featured on MTV’s My Super Sweet 16. His family moved around often but he spent most of his youth in Georgia and later moved to Los Angeles, California in his final years of high school and completed his education at Calabasas High School.

Father Albert Joseph Brown [ Al B. Sure! ]

Quincy Brown’s father is legendary R&B singer Albert Joseph Brown. He was born on June 4, 1968 in Boston Massachusetts but grew up in Mount Vernon, New York State. After venturing into the world of entertainment, he became quite popular for his music. He was also a radio host, songwriter and a record producer. In the 80’s, he changed his name to Al B. Sure!. Sure and released several romantic songs that went on to be massive hits. His songs earned him three Grammy nominations during the course of his career. AL B. Sure is also notable for introducing jack swing audio versions to his musical compositions.

He got married to runway model, Kim Porter in 1989 but they got divorced the following year in 1990. 

Mother Kim Porter

Kimberly Porter was the mother of Quincy from her first marriage to AL B. Sure. Kimberly was born in Columbus, Georgia on the 16th of December, 1971. After graduating from Columbus High School in 1988, she pursued a modeling career as a blushing model in Atlanta. In addition to modeling, Kimberly also went into acting and scored minor roles in several flicks such as Single Ladies, Wicked Wicked Games and The Brothers.

Soon after leaving High School, she went into a relationship with AL B and the pair got married in 1989. Quincy was her only child in the short lived marriage with AL B. Few years later, in 1994 to be precise, she began a relationship with Sean Combs and their union was blessed with three children. Christian Casey Combs and a set of twins daughters, Jessie James Combs and D'Lila Star Combs.

She died unexpectedly on November 15, 2018 at the age of 47. Autopsy reports released to the press indicates pneumonia as the cause of death.

Adoption by Sean Combs 

At the age of three,  Sean Combs eventually adopted him while dating his mother (Kim Porter). Sean would go on to raise Quincy as his own son. They both remain close after Kim's passing.

Ethnicity

Quincy Brown has an African-American ethnicity. His parents are both African Americans. His paternal grandparents are Joesph Brown Albert and Cassandra Brown while his maternal grandmother (Sarah Lee) was the child of Steven Green and Lila Godwin Star.

Relationships

Quincy Brown has made headlines for dating some of the most famous celebrities in the Entertainment industry. He was initially in an off and on relationship with American actress, Keke Palmer whom he starred with in the Brotherly Love movie. After they broke up, he dated British television personality, Kelly Osbourne for a short while in 2014. In the same year, he was rumoured to have dated Amber Rose. Gossip sites also claimed back in 2015 that he was in a close relationship with Kourtney Kardashian but these claims were not substantiated. For now, the young actor isn’t in any known relationship with anyone.

Quincy Brown and Keke Palmer

Quincy Brown and Keke Palmer both played starring roles in Brotherly Love. The movie was executive produced by Queen Latifah and directed by Jamal Hill for Latifah's Flavor Unit production company, Jacavi Film and Electric Republic. Before the movie was released, rumors had been making the round in Hollywood that Quincy and Keke were an item. While neither gave away too much information, gossip forums suggested that the pair had actually been in a relationship since the summer of 2013. Their relationship eventually ended in 2017. At the time, their relationship was a topical discussion in entertainment circles but what led to their breakup is unknown.

Quincy Brown and Zendaya

Sometime in 2014, rumors were rife on social media after Quincy and prominent American singer and actress, Zendaya Coleman posted matching wristwatches on social media. The couple were later seen together at a few red carpet events. Zendaya became popular for her performance on Walt Disney Channel Sitcom Shake it Up which aired from 2010 – 2013. In the series she played the character of Rocky Blue.

Relationship with Devon Brown and Albert Brown

Devon Brown and Albert Brown are Quincy’ step brothers.  Their father, AL.B Sure had them from a previous relationship before he met Kim Porter, Quincy' mother.  From the look of things, they have a wonderful relationship even though they were born by different women.

Relationship with Justin Dior Combs

Justin Combs is Quincy Brown’s step brother via adoption. Justin is the son of Sean Combs (PI Diddy) and celebrity designer, Misa Hyalton-Brim.  After Quincy’ parents got divorced, Sean Combs adopted Quincy and raised him as his own while dating his mother (Kim Porter) . Justin, Quincy and his other step-siblings share a great relationship, and they supported each other emotionally after the death of Kim Porter (Quincy’s mum).

Career

Quincy made his onscreen debut when he featured on MTV’s My Super Sweet 16. After that, he featured in his first ever film (We the Party) in 2012 which was directed by Mandela Van Peebles. Subsequently, the young actor made guest appearances on Crime Scene investigation and Keeping Up with the Kardashians. Later in 2015, he landed his first major role as an actor when he played the character of Chris Collins in a television drama called Brotherly Love. Besides his role as an actor, Quincy Brown has pursued a career in music. His debut track titled Stay Awhile was released in 2012, and the music video got over a million views on Youtube. His other notable singles include Friends First featuring French Montana, Exotic featuring G-Eazy and This is For You released in 2017. 

He also owns a watch brand and graces runway shows as a model from time to time.
