John Quincy "Quince" Banbury (August 29, 1883 – January 23, 1956) was an American football player and coach.

Playing carerr

Banbury played for the University of Pittsburgh in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and was captain of the team in 1908. He also was on the Track & Field team and competed in the long jump.

Coaching career

Banbury was the head college football coach for the Bethany Terrible Swedes located in Lindsborg, Kansas. He held that position for 3 seasons, from 1917 until 1919. His coaching record at Bethany was 5 wins, 14 losses and 2 ties. As of the conclusion of the 2012 season, this ranks him #13 at Bethany in total wins and #15 at the school in winning percentage (.286).
