Quebec City Council

The Quebec City Council (French: Conseil municipal de Québec) is the governing body in the mayor–council government in Quebec City, Quebec, Canada. The council consists of a mayor, and of 27 representatives distributed in the 27 districts, with a president by borough in the elected representatives. The current council majority is composed of 22 Équipe Labeaume councillors led by the mayor Régis Labeaume. The current president of the council is Jean-Marie Laliberté. The number of districts will be brought down to 21 following the 2013 election.
