After the marriage of his daughter, Hridaynath lives a simple life with his unmarried daughter in Dehra Dun. His newly married daughter pays them a visit. She finds out that Hridaynath has debts and is in trouble.

Pyaar Zindagi Hai is a 2001 Hindi-language Indian feature film directed by Vijay Sadanah for producer K. C. Bokadia, starring Rajesh Khanna, Mohnish Bahl, Ashima Bhalla and Vikas Kalantri.

The film is the remake of Tamil language blockbuster Aasai released in 1995. Rajesh Khanna done the role played by Poornam Viswanathan, but the length of his role was significantly increased, while Mohnish Bahl played the part of Prakash Raj.

This Bollywood tragedy tells the story of Pratap Singh, an army major who falls madly in love with his wife's younger sister, Priya, to the point where he is prepared to give up everything to win her attentions. Pratap sets his plan in motion by killing his wife and then telling his father-in-law and Priya that she died of a heart attack, subsequently manipulating them into living with him under the pretext of needing help with his infant son.
