Putatan is a town and a suburb of Kota Kinabalu in the state of Sabah, Malaysia as well as the main secondary town in the district of Penampang. It is located within the district of Penampang on the West Coast Division which was in turn, a satellite town of the city of Kota Kinabalu together with neighbouring Petagas town.
