Gameplay
Psycho-Nics Oscar is a 2D platform-scrolling shooter. The player controls a mecha named Oscar. The extra weapon system is similar to Gradius.
Reception

Psycho-Nics Oscar got an overall rating of 7/10 by Power Play a German video games magazine. They saw the game in the tradition of Ghosts 'n Goblins, mentioned the unusual three fire bottoms and rated the gameplay as very good.
Legacy
The game influenced the design of Turrican, which was released in 1989 and featured a more European aesthetic.
