Prince Po is a member of the rap duo Organized Konfusion with Pharaohe Monch. Following the separation of Organized Konfusion after their 1997 album The Equinox, Prince Po met underground hip hop producer Danger Mouse in 2002. Prince Po then signed to the Warp Records subsidiary Lex Records in 2004. He released the first solo album The Slickness and three EPs on Lex Records. The album is produced by Danger Mouse, J-Zone, Jel, Madlib and Richard X.

He released Saga of the Simian Samurai, a collaborative album with TOMC3, in 2007.
