Philo Belden (October 22, 1815 – September 9, 1889) was a member of the Wisconsin State Assembly and the Wisconsin State Senate.

Biography

Belden was born in Canaan, Connecticut. He died on September 9, 1889 in Rochester, Wisconsin.

Career

Belden was a member of the Assembly in 1853, from 1864 to 1866 and again in 1868. He was a member of the Senate from 1871 to 1872. Belden was later Racine County, Wisconsin Judge from 1884 to 1889. He was succeeded in this position by his grandson, Ellsworth B. Belden.
