Pete Kwiatkowski is an American football coach. He is the defensive coordinator for the Washington Huskies football team. He used to be the defensive coordinator of the Boise State Broncos football team.

Playing career
Kwiatkowski played college football at Boise State as a defensive lineman from 1984 to 1987, where he was a first-team All-America in 1987, honorable mention All-America recognition from the Associated Press in 1986, Big Sky Defensive Player of the Year in 1987, first-team All-Big Sky honors in 1986 and 1987, and all-conference honorable mention as a sophomore in 1985.
Kwiatkowski was inducted into the Boise State Athletic Hall of Fame in 1996.
Early years
Kwiatkowski began his coaching career at Boise State coaching a number of positions on defense including the defensive backs, outside linebackers, and the defensive line. After eight seasons with the Broncos he accepted the co-defensive coordinator position at Snow College where he stayed for one season before moving on to Eastern Washington where he would coach the defensive line for the next two seasons.
Montana State
In 2000 Kwiatkowski moved to Montana State where he coordinated the defense for six seasons. While at Montana State his defenses were a league best in yards allowed per game, passing defense, and scoring defense. In 2002 on the back of Kwiatkowski's defense the Bobcats earned a spot in the playoffs for the first time in nearly 20 years.
Boise State
Following a highly successful stretch in Bozeman, Kwiatkowski returned to Boise State to coach the defensive line under newly appointed head coach Chris Petersen. In 2010, he was promoted to the defensive coordinator position. In his first season running the defense Kwiatkowski's unit finished second nationally in total defense. During his second coaching stint with the Broncos he helped elevate Boise State into a nationally recognized brand.
Washington
Kwiatkowski followed Chris Petersen to Seattle in 2013 when Petersen accepted the head coaching job at Washington. In his debut season as defensive coordinator for the Huskies he coached three Husky defenders to All-American status including the first unanimous All-American at Washington in 20 years in defensive end Hau'oli Kikaha. Following the 2014 season four of Kwiatkowski's players were drafted in the first two rounds of the 2015 NFL draft, including three in the first round.
