He anchors live association football and rugby union matches on Sky Sports. He also co-presents on Sky Sports News and Sky News.

Radio
Pete studied 'Film And Media Studies' at Manchester Metropolitan University and graduated with a 2:1 in 2003.
In the same year his media career began when he was given his own sports show on the hospital radio station 'Radio Tyneside'.
Pete showed early potential and after three months on 'Radio Tyneside' he was offered a full-time job at Metro Radio as a sports reporter.
Pete eventually took over the position of head commentator on all Newcastle United matches working alongside Mick Martin. His first Premier League match was Newcastle's 0-0 draw away at Portsmouth F.C. in October 2005 - He was just 23 years old.
Pete moved to Real Radio (formerly Century Radio) in 2007. He worked as a sports reporter and continued to present live coverage of Newcastle United matches. His new co-commentator was Bobby Moncur. His first match on Real Radio was the 2-1 victory over Liverpool F.C. in February 2007.
Pete wrote, produced and hosted a special one-hour programme dedicated to the life of his hero Sir Bobby Robson to mark his 75th birthday. The programme received widespread recognition and was aired again following Sir Bobby's death in July 2009.
Television
Pete joined the sports department at ITV Tyne Tees signing a one-year contract with ITV but continued to commentate on Real Radio.
He made his television debut as a freelance sports correspondent/presenter on ITV's North East Tonight in February 2008.
Pete's first appearance as a reporter on national television came on 4 September 2008 when he appeared on the ITV Lunchtime News to announce that Kevin Keegan had resigned as Newcastle United manager.
In February 2009 Pete joined Sky Sports News as a reporter. However, from June 2009 he was used mainly as a Presenter.
In September 2010 Pete appeared for the first time on Sky News presenting the sports headlines.
On 23 March 2011, Pete presented his first live association football match on Sky Sports. It was the Victory Shield game between Northern Ireland Under 16s and England Under 16's on Sky Sports 2.
He has gone on to present more live football on Sky Sports including England national under-21 football team matches and Republic of Ireland national football team internationals.
Pete has also presented live Currie Cup rugby union.
Personal
Pete remains a big Newcastle United fan and he regularly attends matches home and away.
