It is located about 9 kilometers from Kondurg and 39 kilometers from Mahbubnagar.

  • Pedda Elikicherla is a Gram panchayat since 1960. The first Sarpanch was Sheik Ahamed. He is followed by Kanduri Krishna Reddy (1965 to 1995), Shanagala Shivamma (1995 to 2000) and Syed Quirsheed (2000 to 2005). The present sarpanch is Kammari Bhupal Chary. There are three Anganwadi centers, 8 Rythu societies and 23 Mahila welfare societies. There are five reservoirs; Pedda cheruvu, Kudi cheruvu, Thimmani kunta, Kotha kunta, Raja kunta. There are few youth welfare societies. There is a Veterinary hospital.
  • It is a 3-way Road junction. There are roads leading to Ghanapuram junction, Galigudem and Mujahidpur (Kulkacharla mandal). There is a statue of Swami Vivekananda at the junction.
  • There is a protected water supply scheme using the Borewell water. The water is supplied to the village households by pipelines. There are 12 borewell pumps for public utilization.
