Pedakakani is a suburban area of Guntur in the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. It is the headquarters of Pedakakani mandal in Guntur revenue division.

History
Sages worshiped Lord Shiva who killed demons to protect people of this region from demons. Upon the request from the local people, Shiva manifested in the form of linga in the Pedakakani Shiva temple.
Geography
Sangam Jagarlamudi is located at 16°20′24″N 80°29′27″E with an elevation of 27 m (89 ft). and is spread over an area of 16.80 km2 (6.49 sq mi).
Demographics
As of 2011 Census of India, Pedakakani had a population of 23,201. The total population constitute, 11,315 males and 11,886 females —a sex ratio of 1051 females per 1000 males. 2,517 children are in the age group of 0–6 years, of which 1,285 are boys and 1,232 are girls —a ratio of 959 per 1000. The average literacy rate stands at 70.05% with 14,489 literates, significantly higher than the state average of 67.41%.
Government and politics
Pedakakani gram panchayat is the local self-government of the village. The panchayat has a total of 20 wards and each ward is represented by an elected ward member. The ward members are headed by a Sarpanch and the present sarpanch is Alla Veera Raghavamma.

Transport
National Highway 16, a part of Golden Quadrilateral passes through the village. APSRTC operates city buses to the village from NTR bus station of Guntur. Pedakakani Halt railway station is an F–category station on Krishna Canal–Guntur section and is administered under Guntur railway division of South Central Railway zone.
