The Peace and Diversity Party (Burmese: မတူကွဲပြားခြင်းနှင့် ငြိမ်းချမ်းရေးပါတီ; PDP) is a political party in Myanmar (Burma). It was founded in 2010, with its headquarters in Mingaladon Township, Yangon.

Political ideology

Political ideology of Peace and Diversity Party is Humanist Democratic Nationalism: to avoid practising a political ideology based on a particular class or nationalism based on race, race or religion. Peace and Diversity Party mentions that they will support democracy and a government elected by the people.

History

Peace and Diversity Party has been campaigning vigorously against land confiscations in Myanmar as for years and in 2012, party's farm land strikes are aware by public and it is foremost of other parties in countrywide. The party is well known as pioneer farm land strike party in Myanmar for national farm land reform movement to Zaykabar's illegally taking land for an industrial zone.

Peace and Diversity Party also stood with farmers whose lands are under Minister of Defence although unused by Myanmar military. The party actively participated in exchanging idea and opinion about establishing federal army and federal union and for trust building in future political dialogue in Thailand in 2013.

In recent years, Peace and Diversity Party has shifted his focusing on anti-Islamization but not anti-Islam as a view of islamization threat is the major issue for Myanmar as well as worldwide. This anti-islamization movement of Peace and Diversity Party is based on party's ideology to avoid practicing a political ideology based on a particular class or nationalism based on race or religion.
