Location

Pawton Quoit is located about 3.2 km southeast from Wadebridge and about 4.0 km north-west from Padstow in a field near Haycrock Farm in Cornwall in England.

Description

Pawton Quoit consists of a massive capstone, which is lying on three support stones. There are additional side stones enclosing a chamber measuring about 2.3 by 1.1 metres. The chamber sits off centre but on the summit of a 1.6 metre high mound measuring approximately 28 metres by 22 metres. The barrow was probably originally round, with a lengthening of one axis due to the downhill slope to the north.
