Paul G. Boyle (born May 4, 1971) is a Canadian award winning documentary filmmaker based in Hong Kong. He came to prominence in 2008 producing and directing a documentary film titled Coming Clean.

Early life

Boyle moved to Hong Kong in 1993. He was born in Windsor, Ontario and grew up in Dundas, Ontario.

He was diagnosed with ADHD and dyslexia in 2001.

Film career 2008/2010

Boyle's first documentary film Coming Clean won two awards at the 2010 New York International Film Festival for best film and audience award.

Future work

In October 2011, it emerged Boyle is preparing to film a screenplay in Toronto titled Yonge Street or working title "Yonge & Bloor".

Controversy

In 1996 he invested in an AJ Hackett bungy jumping franchise for Hong Kong and Macau with two business partners.

On Friday May 24, 1996, as a publicity stunt, he entered the Hong Kong Stadium grounds and climbed 180 feet onto the roof of the stadium and bungy jumped, becoming the first person to bungy jump in China and Hong Kong. He was not arrested but was given a lifetime ban from all Hong Kong Urban Council facilities.
