Pattathanam is a residential area in the city of Kollam in Kerala, south west India. Located 4 kilometres (2.5 mi) from Chinnakkada, the commercial hub of Kollam city, the area is home to the Subrahmanya Swami Temple and its annual elephant festival (Pattathanam Gajamela). The Roman Catholic Bharata Rajni Church and the Ammannada Ardhanarishvara temple are located in Pattathanam.The temple was once a family temple of Kaliyilil puthen Veedu,later it was handed over to NSS.
