Panampatti Velar (Tamil: பானம்பட்டி ) is a village in the Annavasalrevenue block of Pudukkottai district, Tamil Nadu, India.

Demographics

As per the 2001 census, Panampatti had a total population of 1792 with 884 males and 908 females. Out of the total population 874 people were literate.

Most of the families diaspora to some other state and country such as Singapore, Andaman, Chennai etc in mid 70s and 80s due to drought. Now these families well settled in their respective places, these family members preferring themselves to spend time at Native place during Summer occasions and importance festival etc.,

the village surrounded by Stone quarries, everyday blasts in stone hills, which led to damage dwelling Houses and roads etc.,

The village officially recorded as Panchayat, but residents depending on Maruthanthalai, the residents taken up their internal dispute case to Head of Maravar community for arbitration.

One elementary school and higher secondary school functioning in the village. The Higher secondary school cater the needs of littoral village's, students from these area havoc benefitted and the school said to good towards imparting education

lack of transport facilities in this village, particularly students affected havoc due to non availability of Govt. town buses, despite having bus pass, the students couldn't able to utilize the bus pass. One two Mini buses plying between PDKT and Panampatti

The Villagers every five years celebrating Ponadi padaiyal consisting five villages, huge devotees from across globe gathered to pray the god for their needs, every one believes that god fulfilling all their needs and demand, very next that puja utensils and other items will auctioned, heavy competition would be occurred, rich persons attained important items by spending huge amount. .
