History

During the Spanish period, the Spanish used to go to this place during weekends to fly kites of different designs and colors. The first settlers here came from the town of Imus. Among them are the families of Faustino Alvarez, Flaviano Pakingan, Gregorio de la Cruz, Pablo Papa, Dominguez and the Martinez. During the Spanish period, this place became a hiding place for the Katipuneros/revolucionarios.

During the Japanese occupation, some hide-outs of the guerrillas were found here such as those of the P.Q.O.G., R.C.T.C. Hunters, Reyes Regimen and Saulog Regimen. On June 1943, the Japanese ordered the residents to assemble in front of the school and they were not given food and water from morning until evening. Suspected guerrilla members were killed by the Japanese.

When Filipino troops of the Philippine Commonwealth Army & Philippine Constabulary units including recognized guerrillas liberated and batting siege of Paliparan in Dasmariñas, Cavite around 1944 to 1945 was fought and defeated by the Imperial Japanese troops and ended in World War II. The casualties are almost 140 killed and wounded of the Filipino troops and guerrillas and almost 2,400 killed and captured of the Japanese troops. The general headquarters of the Philippine Commonwealth Army and Philippine Constabulary was built and stationed in Barrio Paliparan, Dasmariñas, Cavite from 1945 to 1946 during and aftermath in World War II.

Subdivisions

This barangay is sub divided into six sitios which are Nyugan (on the west), Crossing, Paliparan (on the north), Paliparan Ilaya (also on the north), Pook and Burol (on the north-east). Today, it is considered to be one of the richest barangay in Dasmariñas because of the many factories and industrial estates that are located here. Among them are the Monterey, Reynold's Corporation, Molave Industrial Estate and many others.

The population count of Paliparan III is currently in 60,000+ since 2017. It has several schools inside Paliparan III such as Holy Redeemer School of Dasmariñas Cavite,St. Aloysius Academy of Dasmariñas,Three Angels Institute of Cavite.
