The pale-mandibled aracari ( /ˌɑːrəˈsɑːri/ AHR-ə-SAHR-ee, /ˌɑːrəˈsɑːri/ ARR-ə-SAHR-ee or /ˌɑːrəˈkɑːri/ ARR-ə-KAHR-ee), or pale-mandibled araçari (Pteroglossus erythropygius), is a species of bird in the Ramphastidae family. It is found in western Ecuador and Peru.

Taxonomy and systematics

The pale-mandibled aracari is considered to be a subspecies of the collared aracari by some authorities. Alternate names for the pale-mandibled aracari include the pale-billed araçari, red-backed aracari, red-rumped aracari and scarlet-rumped aracari.
