Oxysepala is a genus of orchids, with the common name of Rope Orchids.

Description

The genus consists of about 25 species, with 8 endemic in Australia. The other species are found in SE Asia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Indonesia and New Guinea.

"This genus was recently segregated from Bulbophyllum based on a single thick fleshy leaf on each pseudobulb, single-flowered inflorescence, and flowers produced at intervals from perennial meristems in the rhizome nodes.

Plants in this genus are insect-pollinated.
