OSMECON is a pan-India undergraduate medical conference held annually by Osmania Medical College and its associate hospitals. It is a three-day-long event usually held in the last week of August of every year.

Designed as a special platform presented by Osmania Medical College to promote undergraduate talent, it instills scientific reasoning and reinforces the value of medical research. Started in 2010 to share medical research done by undergraduates, OSMECON has grown into a special event to showcase, learn, share and gain knowledge.
History
OSMECON started in 2010 as a one-day event restricted to the state. It went on to involve delegates throughout the country and featured workshops for undergraduates for the first time in the state in 2012.
Competitions
Competitions are held on the second and third days of OSMECON and their registration usually begins in the month of July through their website. The events held are as under
Case presentation An excellent opportunity to share an interesting case with peers and professionals alike in the medical field.
Paper presentation A perfect platform for young researchers to showcase their talent. Research done by undergraduates in any medical field is accepted.
Poster presentation In this session delegates present posters about the most happening topics in the field of medicine.
Medtech First of its kind in an undergraduate medical conference wherein students from the engineering stream are encouraged to apply their minds to make instruments or facilities that are easily affordable and accessible to the patients, and immensely necessary to the present medical fraternity. It can be called a fusion of medicine and technology.
