Sharp guitars, a powerful rhythm base and an emotional and impressive vocal line are the defining elements of their music, reminiscent of the British post-punk era. Their sound is dark, elegant and danceable with an underlying pop sensibility.

The name October People was inspired by The October Country, a 1955 short stories collection by Ray Bradbury.

Their debut album, October People, was released in October 2012 via Rumble Records. In September 2013 they join German's label Af-music.

In November 2014, they released their sophomore album "Love Is Colder Than Death", inspired by Fassbinder's homonymous movie. The album has been edited by Trilobite Records, Rumble Records and the band's own label, Black Leaf Records —a second proof of their DIY manifesto, after their first album— and recorded at El Lado Izquierdo (Russian Red, The Cabriolets, Havalina and Christina Rosenvinge, among others). The album counts on great collaborators, like the sound engineer Dany Richter (known for being Russian Red's sound engineer) and the producer Manuel Cabezalí, leader of the extraordinary Spanish band, Havalina.

Over the years, they have performed along with bands like The Chameleons Vox, New Model Army, Frustration, TV Ghost, and Barracudas, among others.

Lyrics, profound and lightly ambiguous, are about universal topics like love, hate, loneliness, will to change, frustration, and hope.
