No Fun Aloud is the debut studio solo album by Glenn Frey, the guitarist for the Eagles. the album was released in May 1982 on Asylum in the US and the UK.

Contents

Upon release, the album was received fairly well by the majority of music critics and became a moderate commercial success. The album reached #32 on the charts and featured two top 40 singles with "The One You Love" and "I Found Somebody". The album was certified Gold by the RIAA, selling over 500,000 (half a million) copies in the United States alone.

Critical reception

Writing retrospectively for AllMusic, critic Mike DeGagne wrote of the album "it's Frey's perfectly guided vocals and impeccable talent for crafting laid-back love songs that make[s] the album noteworthy." and he also praises that "With Frey's own production assistance, No Fun Aloud stands up as a modest debut album."
