Nicole Moudaber

Biography

Nichole Moudaber was born in Nigeria (abt. 1981) She began her career promoting dance party's in Beirut, Lebanon sometime during the 1990's , before transferring to London where she esablished herself as a DJ and Producer. . She came to the attention of Carl Cox in 2009 when she signed to his record label Intec , noted for her large output of singles releases. She released her first album 'Believe' in 2013 then followed up another album release in 2015 called RA.EX277.

MOOD Records

Nicole Moudaber launched her own imprint, MOOD Records, on February 25, 2013 with the release of her In The Mood EP. The official launch party for the imprint took place at Pacha NYC on Saturday, January 26. Since its launch, the imprint has seen releases from Nicole Moudaber, Carl Cox, Carlo Lio, Franciso Allendes, Joel Mull, Juvenal (SKIN), Marino Canal, Pan-Pot, Pleasurekraft, Victor Calderone, and many more.

MoodRAW

In September 2014, Nicole Moudaber announced her "MoodRAW" tour concept which saw her play in underground transformed spaces like warehouses. The events hit five cities and included London, Montreal, Chicago, Los Angeles, and Brooklyn. Describing the events, Nicole Moudaber said "My warehouse tour is going to be a ‘real’ experience, nothing shiny about it, just you, me and the music. This is what I grew up with and why I want to recreate it and bring it to my fans. Just keeping it raw and real.” The event concept has also continued in the following years with acts like Anja Schneider, Carlo Lio, Joel Mull, Victor Calderone, and more playing the events.

MoodZONE

May 2016 saw the debut of Nicole Moudaber's festival stage concept, titled "MoodZONE", at Electric Daisy Carnival: New York where she played back-to-back with Chris Liebing and also hosted and selected Lauren Lane, Mind Against, Paco Osuna, and Thugfucker for the stage. MoodZONE also appeared at Insomniac's flagship event in June 2017, Electric Daisy Carnival: Las Vegas, at the NeonGarden stage, with Chris Liebing, Cristoph, DJ Tennis, Pan-Pot, Shmitty, and Solardo. In July 2017, it was announced that MoodZONE would appear at Utopia Island in Munich, Germany on August 12 and at Escape in San Bernardino, California in October.

The Online Radio Awards are organised by Mixcloud, they were launched in 2014, the awards acknowledge the contribution independent shows and radio stations make within the dance industry, the awards receive a significant number of entries every year and the awards cover 30 different categories of music such as Ambient / Chillout, Bass / Dubstep / DnB, Funky/Soul, Eclectic, Pop, and Rock / Alternative, .

Moudaber has been nominated three times with one win.

DJ Awards

The DJ Awards organizes the annual electronic music DJ awards event it is the only international ceremony for DJs and also the oldest, the awards are held once a year at Pacha club in Ibiza Spain it is one of the most important accolades an artist can win or be honoured by.

Moudaber has been nominated in the Best Techno DJ Award category three times.

The IDMA is a major event which is part of the Winter Music Conference (WMC) a weeklong electronic music conference, held every March since 1985 in Miami Beach, Florida, United States.
