Early life

Lalwani is an Indian of Sindhi origin and was born and raised in Mumbai. She went to Cathedral and John Connon school. She finished her education at Jai Hind College, Mumbai. She was part of The Stop Gaps Choral Ensemble that is considered to be one of India's most prestigious choirs. In 2010, she attended The Berklee School of Music's Summer Program in Boston. She then moved to Los Angeles and attended Musician's Institute in Hollywood, California.

2012

Natania began recording her debut EP, Hope and Heartbreak while she was in College. Lalwani wrote and performed all songs on the record. She co-produced the record with Max Mitchell, an LA-based record producer and keyboardist. The single Cherry Love was inspired by a T-shirt Lalwani saw at a H&M in New York City. The single was released with an animated-lyric video which received over 30,000 views on YouTube in just a few days. The video then proceeded to air on VH1 India along major label artists like Taylor Swift, One Direction creating a buzz for Lalwani. The EP led to her signing with Urband & Lazaar, a music licensing company in Los Angeles that secured her songs spots on American Television. She then was featured on Music Connection's prestigious "HOT 100 Unsigned Artists" list, which in the past has featured artists like Sara Bareilles and the band, Steel Panther. Hope and Heartbreak was listed in the Top 25 Music Critiques in 2013. Cherry Love also won "Honorable Mention" at the Unsigned Only International Songwriting Competition. Lalwani was part of the top finalists out of 8,000 entries from over 100 countries. Songs from the EP have been featured in commercials for the fashion brand PS I Made This.

Lalwani co-wrote a song The Letter with singer-songwriter Melody Michalski. The song was produced by Cameron Lister and engineered by Travis Ference at the legendary Sound Factory Studios in Hollywood where artists like Sheryl Crow, Red Hot Chili Peppers and Prince have recorded. The project was successfully funded by a Kickstarter campaign that Lalwani and Michalski started to raise funds for the project. It aired on VH1 India and Pepsi MTV Indies

2014

Lalwani released her single "Box You Up", co-produced by Max Mitchell. It released exclusively on VH1 on September 9, 2014. It got reviews from publications/News outlets Time Out Mumbai and Hindustan Times Brunch, Deccan Herald Tadpoles and Miss Malini, (who called Lalwani India's Taylor Swift). The first video for the single was an animated lyric video that aired on VH1 and Pepsi MTV Indies. The song charted at no. 35 on VH1's Top 50 videos of 2014 The success of the single led to Lalwani being an official judge at India's biggest college festivals like Malhar, Kaleidoscope and IIT's Mood Indigo.

2015-Present

Lalwani is working on new music and is part of the songwriting duo "Hits & Giggles writing music for other artists in the US. Lalwani was chosen out of hundreds of songwriters in America, and was invited to work with Desmond Child at his studio in Nashville in 2016. In February 2017 Lalwani released her single "Prisoner" that made its debut on Rolling Stone India. It was a commercial success as it aired exclusively on VH1, the song quickly went to India's biggest english Radio station Radio One (India). It was featured on Grazia India, Filter Copy, Bangin Beats, Mid Day.

Collaborations

Lalwani has collaborated with artists like Neon Hitch, The Voice (U.S. TV series)'s Caroline Pennell, Humble the poet, Tim Mitchell, Leslie Grace , Stolar. Lalwani also co-wrote Melody Michalski's single New York Snow, which released in 2013. Lalwani co-wrote songs for The Golden Girl EP by independent artist Grayce. She also co-wrote Tonight, a song on Malaysian artist Tan's debut album that charted on iTunes Top 100. The song was produced by Mario Machetti ( Demi Lovato, Jennifer Lopez). Natania co-wrote "I See The Fire" with Grayce that aired on TLC in Europe placed on the official promo/trailer for Caitlyn Jenner's show I Am Cait in 2015., She co-wrote the song "When I Was Young" by Neo Noir (Feat. Brooke Williams) that released April 6th on Lowly Palace and Trap Nation. The song climbed on Spotify's US Viral 50s Chart and peaked at No.3 and Global Viral 50 at No.23 Stolar's "Feel Good" was also penned by Lalwani that released on April 7th
