Naked & Shameless are a parody rock band that embraces rock culture at its American roots. Initially formed as the duo of Jim Naked and Dave Shameless in Vancouver, Canada in 1986. After a short bust of activity, the duo disappeared. Dave Shameless re-emerged in Chicago in 2000 with a new Naked in Buck F. Naked, playing an "off-beat brand of Acoustic Punk... mixing kitsch and humor into their over-the-top sound" that they referred to as Dunkabilly. They spent the next decade in a recording and touring cycle that garnered a reputation for being weird.

Buck married Beer in Los Angeles on June 26, 2010 and bowed out a year later to pursue other things. A revamped "Four Piece Duo" emerged shortly after, releasing a 7" vinyl record containing their ode to former mayor of Toronto, Rob Ford, "All The Best Mayors (Smoke That Crack Cocaine)".
