Musuvinakoppalu is a village in T. Narasipura taluk of Mysuru district in southern state Karnataka in India. This village is the headquarters of Muttalavadi Grama Panchayath in Sosale holbali in T. Narasipura Taluk. This is the most developed village in T. Narasipura taluk with all basic facilities like paved roads, pure drinking water and electricity supplies.

Musuvinakoppalu is announced as a Suvarna Grama of Karnataka. Musivinakoppalu is in the left banks of Kaveri River. This village has the majority of Kuruba Gowdas community in its population.

History

The name Musuvinakoppalu derived from the name of a land lord Musuvegowda belongs to Kuruba Gowdas community was ruling this village in 1755 AD under Mysuru Wodeyers Dynasty.

Literature and culture

Literature and cultural heritage in this village is rich and Musuvinakoppalu was one the centres of rich cultural activities in past. In these regions temples were used as workshops. Famous Kannada movie actor Batti Mahadevappa is from the same place.

Musuvinakoppalu Maramma is the goddess worshiped here as Grama Devathe (Goddess of the Village). The temple of the Goddess is in middle of the Village which was built before 900 AD.

The temples of this village is Sri Anjaneya Temple, Sri Siddappaji Temple, Haralikatte, Shivanasamudra Maramma Temple and Bisilu Maramma Temple.

Transport

Musuvinakoppalu is connected by road with its taluk headquarters T. Narasipura (T. Narasipura - Musuvinakoppalu Road), Doddebagilu and Horalahalli. KSRTC provides buses from T. Narasipura to Musuvinakoppalu twice a day.
