Muhammad Mansuruddin (31 January 1904 – 19 September 1987) was a Bangladeshi educationist and folklorist.

Education and career

Mansuruddin earned his MA degree in Bengali from Calcutta University in 1928. He then worked as a temporary school sub-inspector for three years. In 1951 he started teaching in Dhaka Islamic Intermediate College's school branch. He also taught at Howra Zila School, Chittagong Government Intermediate College and the Murarichand College.

In 1952 he served as the editor of the Mahe-Nao. He later was elected a member of the International Folk Song Council. He served as the Head of the Bangla Department at Dhaka College until 1959.

Inspired by his school teacher Surendranath Sen, Mansuruddin started writing poems. His first poem, Bedouin Musalman, was published in the magazine of Edward College in Pabna.
