The world record for the greatest number of players in an online multiplayer first-person shooter video game was set on the 29th of January 2012 in Uppsala, Sweden and verified by Guinness World Records Gamer's Edition. The record, 999 simultaneous players, was set using networking technology developed in-house by MuchDifferent. Players from all over the world participated.

Multi player network technology
