Gameplay

Missile Command 3D is a update to the original arcade game by Atari, featuring 3 different modes:

Classic: As the name implies, this mode is a recreation of the arcade game although with few alterations, such a the batteries being more taller than in the original. One of the most notable features of Classic mode is the different background overlays that can be toggled using the Jaguar's keypad ranging from a arcade screen simulating the original's control scheme to a Atari Lynx.

3D: 3D mode is a graphically upgraded version of the original game with a rotating viewpoint, modifying the original's gameplay by adding power-ups which increases the missile's explosion range, a city upgrade system that either repairs or upgrade the city which allows for more options via production units that allows the cities to manufacturate special weapons and more enemy types.

Virtual: Virtual mode is the main mode of the game, which makes use of the Jaguar's unreleased headset. Virtual mode modifies the original game even further, instead of firing missiles the player now has three methods of counter-attacking the enemy's missiles, either the missiles, using the batteries' laser cannons which can be upgraded to deal more damage or a screen-clearing bomb, which destroys every missile on the screen. This mode features 3 stages across three waves , each one with their own bosses.
