Military Colony is old name of Subhaschandra Bose colony (S.C Bose Colony or Bose Colony) under Kalla Mandal in west Godavari, Andhra Pradesh,India-534236.Military Colony or Bose colony is mainly divided in three colonies i.e. Military Colony-1,2 and 3 and Modi Village (Military colony-2).

History
In Earlier years (1970-1980’s) people went to Indian Military, after completion of their services, government used to give five acres of land to all Military ex-Employees, So all military mans used to Come back and stay in this area because they have lands here given by government, Basically Military mans are not from this area, they are from other area of same district, slowly colonies are formed and name as Military Colonies. Military Colony or Subhaschandra Bose colony (S.C Bose Colony or Bose Colony) is 30 km away from BHIMAVARAM,Earlier days (in 1980s) people used to go by boats from Juvvalapalem and Bhimavaram.In 90s few roads are formed based on requirements of villagers and local needs to do the forming. Later Days its developed into FISH/PROWNS FORMING because plenty of water avail in this area from the sea as well as Godavari River Sub canals too..
In years of 2000’s Concretes roads are sponsored by Government now This village having good road connectivity from Bondada,Jakkararam,Pallipalem,kalavapudi and Juvvalapalem.Even though Road Connectivity is there tranasportation facilities are nil,only one bus is available from Bhimavaram to Bose Colony at morning and evening one trip respectively as confort of college students.So people doent depends on buses everybody will have their own 2-wheeler like Honda passion,Moped and Hero Majestics.We can reach these colonies mainly from 2 ways. One way is from bhimavaram to bondada lanka via Malavanitippa and 2 way is Juvallapalem to via pallipalem(This way is well connected with Bhimavaram to Vijayawada road)
Culture
This villages are mainly depending on aqua (fish/prawn) forming based on ancestors, Few are daily wagers,These all colonies are not having any super markets, shopping malls.People usually go to nearest market weekly once and get the required things. These village people will celebrates all festivals in India but during Christmas time you can find good atmosphere in this villages.
