Michael "Mike" Gorman (born November 24, 1945 in Dorchester, Massachusetts) is a television play-by-play commentator for the Boston Celtics basketball team, currently broadcasting on the Comcast Sportsnet New England. Gorman is a graduate of Boston Latin School and Boston State College (now University of Massachusetts-Boston). Mike did play-by-play of basketball for NBC during the 2016 Summer Olympics with longtime basketball analyst Fran Frashilla.

He and color commentator Tom Heinsohn form one of the longest-tenured broadcast tandems in professional sports. They have been broadcasting Celtics games for over thirty years.

A five-time Emmy award winner, Gorman was inducted into the New England Basketball Hall of Fame in 2004.

A veteran of the U.S. Navy, Gorman began his broadcasting career at WNBH in New Bedford, Massachusetts and WPRO radio in Providence, Rhode Island. Gorman served as sports director at WPRI-TV in Providence; as the voice of the University of Rhode Island on WPRO; and as television play-by-play man for the Providence College Friars.

During the 1980s, Gorman was the primary announcer for ESPN's "Big Monday" Big East Game of the Week. He has called the NCAA basketball tournament on CBS; tennis at the 1992 Barcelona Summer Olympics with Bud Collins on NBC; the NBA Playoffs on TBS, Handball at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London, and Men's Basketball at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro.

Mike is married to Teri Schindler, Executive Vice-President of brand strategy firm Davis Brand Capital. Their daughter, Kristen, works in theater/television.
