Mick Gooda, an indigenous Australian of the Gangulu people in the Central Queensland, a public servant and Aboriginal activist, is the Australian Human Rights Commission's Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Social Justice Commissioner since 16 December 2009.

Prior to taking up the position of Commissioner, Gooda was the Chief Executive Officer of the Aboriginal Health Cooperative Research Centre. Gooda was a long–serving officer with the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Commission.
In 2016, Gooda and Margaret White were appointed as co-Commissioners for the Royal Commission into the Protection and Detention of Children in the Northern Territory.
