Mesa Natural Gas Solutions (MNGS) is a North American distributor and service provider of natural gas generators. The Wyoming-based company is the exclusive distributor of Moser Energy Systems natural gas powered generator packages. The power systems run on untreated wellhead gas to provide electricity for oil and gas well equipment. Using them helps cut back on the practice of flaring natural gas.

Due to public demand to reduce air pollution and increasingly stringent government regulations in regard to flared/vented natural gas in the United States, EPA-certified natural gas powered generators, like those distributed by Mesa, may be positioned to play an integral part of a gas capture plan to help reduce and eliminate flared/vented gas and air pollution.
History
Mesa Natural Gas Solutions was founded by T. Boone Pickens (BP Energy Partners, LLC), Jakob Norman (CEO, Mesa Solutions) and Scott Gromer (Vice President, Mesa Solutions) and Randy Moser (President, Moser Energy Systems) in 2014. Board members include Jakob Norman, Scott Gromer, Michael Watsky (current Chairman), Cole Robertson and Loren Soetenga. Advisory members of the board include Kevin Cieply and Shawn Stoval.
BP Energy Partners, a private equity fund sponsored by T.Boone Pickens, partnered with Moser leadership to launch Mesa Natural Gas Solutions to distribute Moser generator packages in new markets

Mesa Natural Gas Solutions' natural gas generators currently power all of the major oil and gas plays in North America, and some international basins.
Growth
Due to increased demand, Moser Energy Systems increased production of their natural gas generators by 400% between 2012-2013. To accommodate the burgeoning market, Mesa Natural Gas Solutions was established to facilitate and manage distribution. Moser's generators and Mesa's distribution have been shown to offer cost and environmental benefits to the businesses they work with, even as oil prices are falling.
As of 2015, Mesa Natural Gas Solutions is the nation's top distributor of natural gas generation systems serving oil field drilling rig sites.
Veteran, Reserve & National Guard Workforce
Mesa Natural Gas Solutions founder, Jakob Norman, spent over 20 years in the armed forces, and practiced as a lawyer. He serves as a Lieutenant Colonel in the Wyoming Army National Guard and remains active in his hometown community. The company's Vice President, Scott Gromer, spent 23 years in the Army and retired as a Major from the Wyoming Army National Guard. Additionally, several of the company’s founders and leadership are veterans of the United States military and continue to serve in the Reserves and National Guard.
Mesa Natural Gas Solutions employs a staff which is over 60% U.S. military veterans. As of 2016, Mesa employees had more than 200 years of combined military service; 28 overseas deployments; 17 stateside deployments; and attended over 110 military schools. More than 85% of Mesa's field staff are veterans. The top three leadership positions at Mesa Solutions are held by individuals who have over 68 combined years of military experience across a myriad of assignments.
Freedom Award
In March 2016, Mesa Natural Gas Solutions was one of 30 employers selected from a pool of 2,424 employers as a finalist to receive the U.S. Department of Defense's Freedom Award for their support of their employees who serve in the National Guard and Reserve. Mesa Natural Gas Solutions was the only Wyoming organization to be named as a finalist for the Freedom Award.
