George Cortez (born February 11, 1951) is the former offensive coordinator for the BC Lions of the Canadian Football League. He was the offensive coordinator for the Saskatchewan Roughriders previously, as well as a former head coach for the Hamilton Tiger-Cats. His coaching career began in 1979 where he was the offensive line coach for the Rice Owls of Rice University. In terms of professional football, he has also coached in the Canadian Football League for the Montreal Alouettes/Concordes, Ottawa Rough Riders, Calgary Stampeders, and Saskatchewan Roughriders. He attended Texas A&M University.
