Biography

Devlin was born in Omagh, Co Tyrone. She worked in Fleet street before moving to Dublin. Her original degree was in journalism and then Devlin went to Trinity College, Dublin to do an MPhil in Anglo-Irish Literature. Then she began working as a journalist in Dublin and writing novels. Devlin does not write by genre. One of her books is historical and another is speculative fiction.

She is the vice-chairperson of the Irish Writers Centre.

Devlin has won numerous awards for both her writing and journalism.
