Margarito Flores García (February 22, 1899 — November 12, 1927) was a Saint of the Roman Catholic Church. While operating in Chilpancingo-Chilapa as a priest, he was persecuted by anti-Catholicism that had begun during the Mexican revolution, and died a martyr.

Biography
Margarito Flores García was born in Taxco de Alarcón, located in the Mexican state of Guerrero, the son of Germán Flores and García Merced. Holy Orders were received from the hands of José Guadalupe Ortiz April 5, 1924. His 1st Held Mass was celebrated in his hometown, in the church of the parish Santa Prisca y San Sebastian on April 20, 1924. Initially he worked in the seminary and performed the duties of vicar. He also successfully fought the expansion of sects. This was at the time that persecution of Catholics intensified, after the publication in 1926, with a Government Decree Plutoco Elías Calles requiring priests to leave the parish and move to the cities. Another aspect influencing this was the death of David Uribe Velasco who requested a transfer into the region of greatest danger, where the church was attacked.
In the same year -- under the influence of increasing repression -- the clergy was moved from Chilpancingo to Tecapulco. García continued his studies at the Academia de San Carlos. He was arrested in June of the following year and imprisoned along with a group of members of the "League for the Defense of Religious Liberty",. After the intervention of the family of General Roberto Cruz, he was released. In November, according to a complex request, he was sent to the ministry as pastor and to the parish in the village of Atenango del Río. Rustic local authorities announced earlier the death of every priest in the town and shortly after arriving Margarito Flores García was arrested and then dragged on a rope in front of the face of general in Tulimán. He was shot on November 12. Police commissioner Crus Pineda, who tried to help the priest, was later subjected to the same fate.
Margarito Flores Garcia's death was the result of hatred for the faith. In short, it was a crime against the priestly ministry. After completing the information on the stage of the local diocese, (that transpired between 1933 and 1988), Garcia was beatified on 22 November 1992 in the Vatican St. Peter's Basilica. Peter and the canonization to St. Peter's Square, in Christopher Magallanes Jara and 24 companions, held on 21 May 2000. The beatification of Roman Catholic Church made Pope John Paul II.
Relics Margarito Flores García were moved in 1925. Chapel in his home parish of Taxco, which is a place of special holy saint worship.
