Manjunatha BA LLB received mixed reviews from critics upon its release. Rediff rated the film 2.5/5 and commented "Though there are too many characters, which leaves one confused, Manjunatha BA LLB is a watchable film.". However, IBN Live gave a negative review to the film adding that "Manjunatha BA LLB' is sure to disappoint you if you are looking for some good fun or entertainment. At best, it is just a unique combination of comedy, thrills and some good dialogues."
