Mandalay technological university
Mandalay Technological University (MTU) (Burmese: မန္တလေး နည်းပညာ တက္ကသိုလ်, [máɴdəlé nípjɪ̀ɴɲà tɛʔkəθò], formerly, the Mandalay Institute of Technology (MIT)), in Patheingyi, Mandalay, is a senior engineering university in Myanmar. The university offers undergraduate, graduate and postgraduate programmes in engineering disciplines to students. It maintains an annual student intake of around 300.

Although MTU offers master's, doctoral and other postgraduate programmes, students can go to Yangon Technological University or abroad to extent their postgraduate studies.
Starting from 2012-2013 Academic year, MTU was declared as the Center of Excellence (COE) and reaccepted the undergraduates for Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch.) and Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) . In each academic year MTU accepts around 300 students and stands as the second most popular university in Myanmar, after Yangon Technological University, YTU .
Mandalay technological university
History
The university was founded as Mandalay Institute of Technology on 1 October 1991 and became the second senior engineering university to be founded in the country.
Programmes
The university's main offerings are six-year bachelor's and two-year master's degree programmes. Two-thirds of nearly 7500 students who graduated between 1997 and 2004 received bachelor's degrees and 7.3% received master's.
