Maheshwar Hazari (born 9 October 1971) is an Indian politician. He is Cabinet Minister of Building Construction Department(PWD) and earlier Cabinet Minister of Urban Development and Housing in state of Bihar. He has won Kalyanpur(Samastipur) constituency by one of the highest margin of 52000. He defeated nephew of Ram Vilas Paswan. He is an ex member of the Indian Parliament, and represented Samastipur (Lok Sabha constituency). He was 3 time MLA in Bihar Legislative Assembly. Hazari is a cousin of Ram Vilas Paswan. Interestingly, he defeated Ram Vilas’s brother Ram Chandra Paswan. His father Ramsewak Hazari was Socialist politician, and was an 8 times MLA in the Bihar Assembly and he was elected to 6 Loksabha Election as a MP.
