Mahat Raghavendra (born 18 February 1987) is an Indian actor who predominantly works in Tamil and Telugu cinema. He is best known for his role in Venkat Prabhu's action thriller, Mankatha.

Career
After finishing a degree at Hindustan College of Arts and Science, Mahat pursued a career in films with actor-director Silambarasan who cast him in a minor role for the 2006 film, Vallavan. He was initially set to make his debut in a Tamil remake of the successful Telugu film, Ullasamga Utsahamga (2008), though the venture never took off.
Mahat, a childhood friend of producer Dhayanidhi Alagiri, was signed to portray a role in Venkat Prabhu's Mankatha which featured an ensemble cast including Ajith Kumar, Arjun and Vaibhav Reddy. Mahat appeared as a Dharavi bar owner and the film opened to critical and commercial acclaim in August 2011, and subsequently won him the Edison Award for Best Debut Actor.
Personal life
Mahat was reportedly seeing actress Taapsee Pannu even before the release of his debut Mankatha and was seen in the company of her during the success party of Aadukalam. The actor however denied that the pair were in a relationship.
Mahat was involved in an altercation with Manoj Manchu in July 2012 and was reportedly left assaulted by the Telugu actor and his gang. The pair had clashed at the after party of the 59th Filmfare Awards South in Chennai, with Mahat stating that he had not the attack was unprovoked. The incident happened at 4 am and Mahat was subsequently treated for a swollen eye, severe pain to his right jaw and went to file an FIR report. Reports have indicated that the issue involved also concerns Taapsee, with reports earlier suggesting that Manoj and Taapsee had moved in together. The pair later amicably sorted out their differences and released an official statement denying further charges.
