He is son of Thakur Sahib Mahendra Singh and Thakurani Sahiba Pratap Kumari, of Ghanerao. He studied at Mayo College (Ajmer).Lokendra married Bhargavi, daughter of Arvind Singh Mewar, March 27, 1995 and they have two daughters.
